Oh the weather has been absolutely gorgeous. It has been wonderful to get outside on these mild days and breath in the fresh air.  It's a great time to just soak everything in--the smell of mud, green things sprouting up, the gentle breeze, a spring swing.

I remember as a child one of the first things I would do on the first mild day after the long winter would be to run to edge of my yard and swing as high as I could on the old aluminum swing set--you know the one that would lift a foot out of the ground when you hit your apex?

Good times.
Dangerous, good times.

I was known to make up a few songs while I would swing too. I called it my Swinging Springing Singing. Those were carefree days and believe me you can get a little bit of it back if you take a ride on a swing--who can be stressed, depressed, or grumpy while swinging?

Here's a pic that I took of Potato keeping the tradition alive! Doesn't it look like fun? Welcome Spring! (I know it's technically not Spring yet--We are counting down the days though!)

My son, Dean is OBSESSED with Just Dance Kids 2.  The problem is that he is too little to work the Kinect . . . so, I started letting him just view the "videos" on YouTube.  I type a search for "Just Dance Kids 2" and a ton of them come up for him to dance along to!

I have listened to The Gummy Bear Song a million times!  He's also into The Chicken Dance and 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.  He has also been listening a lot to the Muppets Song - Mahna Mahna.

This week, as Christine said, we had BEAUTIFUL weather and we ate dinner outside on Wednesday.  Here's Dean and I doing a little snippet of the now popular in our house Mahna Mahna:

He lost interest quickly but I caught it on my iPhone . . . I smile every time I watch it!  (I dare you to try not smiling while watching - come on . . . food is falling out of his mouth while he's singing!!!)

  1. Good Morning!!!! I loved your post. I too am a HUGE fan of warm weather. I love the smell of the grass being cut and feeling the sun on my face. That is why I moved back to Florida. I need my sunshine ALMOST as much as coffee in the morning.

Once I make a post about my week I will come back and post it. Thanks for the invite!!

  2. Good morning ladies. I've been trying to link up for about 20 minutes on 3 different browsers and Linky Tools is just not having it this morning. Keep getting an error message. I'll come back and try again later!

  9. Did you guys see that Polamalu/Mahna Mahna song that came out for the 05/06 Superbowl?  WAY funny!  I guess you would be more likely to hear it, though, as it is a song...oh, well.
