My Mini Me turned Five on the fourth of July. I love that we can play it off like all of the fireworks are "hers". It makes for one spectacular birthday that's for sure!
We saw our fire works display a few days before the fourth...and then capped off our festivities with a birthday cook out at our house and a campfire in the evening. Despite the muggy weather we all had a great time!

I'd have to say that the 4th was also my BEST day this week! Honestly, it was so great to have the hubster home in the middle of the week it almost felt like a vacation! We also celebrated a birthday - my nephew turned 15! He was 4 when I babysat him and his older sister (who is now 18 and going to college this September) for the summer. Yes, I'm feeling old.
The kids weren't happy ALL day because of the heat and our summer schedule (which has been cutting into their beauty sleep) but they did enjoy the fireworks and watching Daddy play "fireman" at the end of the "show".
