I actually was a pinner before pinning was something that just about everyone knew about. Not that I feel that makes me extra special or anything - Pinterest is actually MORE fun the more people you follow! I love when I get a few minutes to hop on and just see what my friends have been pinning lately.
However, there are a lot of things that drive me CRAZY about Pinterest, too. I thought I'd share some of my Pinterest Pet Peeves with you and see if you agree:
1) When the Pin doesn't go to what it says it should - for example, the other day a friend of mine pinned something about how to make a week's worth of healthy lunches in less than an hour. I clicked on it to see if the lunches were ones I could see myself eating and was assaulted by a woman in short shorts (like butt cheeks hanging out) and leg-warmers. The picture that she had pinned was there (a bunch of bowls all lined up with some salad in them) but the article wasn't. No recipes or tips . . . just a scantly clad aerobics instructor.
2) When ALL of my friends pin the same pin and it comes up on my feed I wish there was something that Pinterest could do about this. Especially because I can't ask my friends NOT to pin a really cool pin because I've already seen it 39 times and pinned it myself. It's more annoying on my phone than on the laptop . . . but still annoying.
3) When someone pins a recipe and writes out the ENTIRE recipe - why bother going to the pin? Plus, it takes up SOO much space when I'm scrolling!!!
4) When someone doesn't describe a pin - picky, right? Too many words and now not enough . . . am I ever happy? hehehe Seriously, though, at least write SOMETHING! I hate when there is a picture I can only kind of make out and someone writes something underneath like "cool" or "I love this". WHAT?!? What do you LOVE?!?
There you have it . . . my biggest Pinterest Pet Peeves. Do you have any that I didn't mention? I'd love to hear about them!

Amen to all of the above! And, of course, the inherent frustration that comes from seeing all this cool stuff and not having time to attempt more than 1/1000th of it! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh. I try to check every pin I repin now because of those spam ones. It's so easy to unknowingly spread it! I agree about the captions....I want to know what it's about but don't need to read the whole post on pinterest.
