A Bit of Random on a Saturday

My to-do list today is kind of long. So I'm blogging!  Great idea right?

My mind is a swirl of items that need ticking off and it's actually kind of hard to concentrate on formulating a coherent, thought provoking piece today....

So I'll just share some random thoughts with you:

I haven't had a dream in a while (at least not one I can remember). I had two dreams last night, both included animals. The first featured a myriad of woodland creatures--mostly deer and bunnies--and the second one involved finding a kitten sitting on top of the cereal boxes in my pantry. I'm not a cat person although I couldn't resist a kitten. Does anyone have any idea what this means?   It probably means I shouldn't eat Chinese food so close to bedtime.

Janene is coming over today. Yippee! The kids will get to play and we will get some time to hang out and talk all things blog.   I mentioned on our Facebook Page that we are gearing up for a great fall on the blog and I want to clue you all in...but it's gonna have to wait just a tad bit longer.  Oooooh, teaser!

Puppy sitting is coming to a close soon. It's been fun having two dogs for a bit, but it made me realize we are a one dog family. We (I) had thrown around the idea of getting a puppy pal for our boxer a couple times, but we really would need to find a kindred spirit for our loving, playful dog. Not just any dog will do. And I'm not sure that there is another dog that could share the love as graciously as Kingston does.  Kingston really likes Skittle. But I can tell he misses all of the pets and cuddles that he never has to share when there isn't another doggy around.  He's let her take over the best spot on the couch.  He ambles over, bum wiggling, when he notices that Princess Skittle is getting some attention and waits patiently for a scratch behind the ears.  He's been a tad mopey--although, he always looks mopey. But I can tell he's a little mopier.

I wish that our elementary school would let us know our teacher assignments and what the supply lists are a little sooner than the week before school starts. I know that I procrastinate everything, but I like to procrastinate on my own terms and I really didn't want to wait until the week before school to do my back to school shopping. I know we could get the first day of school outfits out of the way...but who am I kidding? I won't do it until the room assignments are known even though one has nothing to do with the other.

Time to get this busy Saturday started, my friends. What is on your Saturday agenda?
