  Five4Five Meals (and more)

Good Morning, Lydia!  What's that you have in that mug there?

Coffee. I am a coffee lady. If I could get coffee in an IV while drinking it at the same time I would. I am a full fledged addict.

Mmmm . . . coffee and I are good friends, too!  What would you like to tell our readers about yourself?

I am Lydia Senn. I am Jesus lover, mother, wife, writer, blogger, cook and scatter brain who has piles and piles of unfolded laundry scattered about my house.

A woman I can relate to!  I have no idea where the laundry in my house comes from but it is EVERYWHERE!!!

The title of your blog is very clever!  How did you pick "Five 4 Five: Meals and More?

Well, it started because I was making cooking videos with the baby. (Speaking of which I need to upload one now.) The concept was that I would take 5 minutes to make a meal for four people and the cost would be under $5 a person.

Cost effective, quick and yummy?  Sounds awesome!

So, what is one post that you want everyone who comes to your blog to read and what was your inspiration for writing that post?

I made fish tacos with pico de gallo and peanut sauce. It was a restaurant quality meal that costs less than $2 per serving. That's the concept behind the blog, you don't need fancy things in the kitchen. You just have to get in there, experiment and have fun. But keep it simple.

Fish tacos?  Would you believe I've never had one?  That recipe makes them look easy enough that I could see myself having time to make them!  (Great video, by the way!  Cutie patootie helper you have there! Not a bad looking taste tester, either!)

When we checked out your blog we saw it as a place to read about some awesome recipes and giveaways along with some personal stories thrown in the mix!  Was this what you intended when you started your blog? What made you decide to start blogging? Where do you see your blog going and growing to in the future?

It was what I intended.

Before my son was born I was a seriously stressed out newspaper reporter. I wanted to keep up my writing and my portfolio, but I also wanted to try something new. Blogging lets me continue to write, but it has also allowed me to meet some new people and make new friends. I hope to get more subscribers and turn it into an online magazine of sorts.

Finally, the question I love the most in our lineup, what makes you "More than a Mommy"?

I am a reader. A big reader, like a two-book a week reader. I am also a writer and editor. I run a small PR business where I assist people in their marketing and writing materials and I handle their social media needs. So on and so forth. Also, I am writing a novel.

You are one busy lady!  Thank you so much, Lydia, for dropping by and we wish you the best of luck with your blog and video series!  I'm off to add some Panko and Tilapia to my grocery list!
