Forty bloggers come together to work on the VERY first crowd sourced e-book. I had to let that sink in for a minute.
Forty bloggers collaborate and create an incredible e-book--The very first of its kind!
Janene and I are so proud to have contributed to this wonderful resource brought to you by Chef Boyardee and The Motherhood. Because it is super cool to be a part of an exciting first, but also because the topic is fun and informative. The book is packed full of tips, tricks, recipes, advice, and testimonials all designed to get you into the kitchen and cooking with your kids.
When we first opened the book here at home we just loved the bright colors, the simple lay-out, and of course all the awesome content jam packed into this little book! Ahem, pay special attention to pages 11-14. Yes, Ava's first words when she saw her picture were: I'm famous!
It has really jump started my girls' interest in helping me in the kitchen. Whenever I ask for an extra hand I have two or three "Little Chefs" eager to measure, mix, and pour.
Just when I couldn't be happier with how the entire project turned out, we were told that to go along with e-book there would be several cook-alongs scheduled to correspond to each chapter of the book. It is a chance for the collaborators to get together with their readers and discuss their chapter, generate new ideas, get to see recipes made first hand, ask questions etc. We participated in the second cook a-long which took place yesterday. We discussed Teachable Moments in the kitchen: everything from math and science, to life skills like co-operation, and we discussed history: passing on family traditions, learning recipes that our ancestors made, and understanding cultures--our own and others. You can read the chat for chapters 1 and 2 and check out the videos, then register for the next in the series!
But before you leave us to explore, we must offer up a parting gift! We are so excited about this giveaway which is perfect for anyone who is looking to get their little chefs into the kitchen with them. Just look at all of the great things in this kit!
