Thanks for joining us today as we sit down with Monica  from Marino Bambinos

Good Morning! Tell us how you would you introduce your self to us,and tell us what you are drinking this morning:

By my name, Monica. And coffee, two cups!

Short and simple! I can appreciate that! Welcome to The Sunday Sip, Monica. It is great to have you here. Can you tell us the story behind your blog name?

I actually didn't put a lot of thought into the name since I started my blog with the intention of only sharing it with family and close friends. I actually kept my settings strictly private for a very long time. I think I began my blog with the intention of simply chronicling the lives of my two kiddos and Marino Bambinos seemed fitting. My husband is from an all Italian background and I am half Italian and half Colombian - so my kiddos are actually Latino Bambinos.

What is one post that you want everyone who comes to your blog to read and what was your inspiration for writing that post?

I actually haven't written it yet, but a favorite post exists in my mind! I've been working on sewing dresses for an outstanding organization called Little Dresses for Africa. I just have to add pockets and my dresses will be good to go! I truly think that it is crucial to use social media as a powerful vehicle to share social good or movements towards social change. A ripple effect often takes place.

I wrote a post for my son's second birthday that seems to capture some of the moments that inspire me to write. And on days when my kitchen is a mess and I desperately need a break, I'm reminded that underneath the mess and frustration - glimmering moments always exist. I am so so grateful for that. 

Right now we see your blog as a fabulous place to look for inspiration! I love your vivid photos--One of your recent posts: The Butterfly Fairy, really dazzled me! It's fun to see how you seamlessly weave reviews and sponsored posts in with your personal adventures with parenting in the city as well. I think your blog will quickly become a must-read for me personally! Where do you see your blog going and growing to in the future?

Thank you so much for the kind words! My blog has been a great outlet for me and I want to continue to write about things that inspire me first and foremost. I have also really enjoyed working with some great products and companies and have had the chance to attended some amazing events. I hope to continue working on my little bloggy blog - as I greatly enjoy it.

It's been wonderful getting to know you and your blog a little better today. We always save our favorite question for last. So please tell us, what makes you More than a Mommy?

I'm finally getting adequate sleep and am really working on finding time to give back to myself. A good workout always makes me feel great and I love having creative outlets. I really enjoy all aspects of sewing - especially having a vision and seeing it through from start to finish. I love exploring New York City and am always inspired by this great city. I also have a few great women in my life and I think that finding time to reconnect is so important too.
