We are Ready to Party! Almost...#MTMMixer

When I logged into our Facebook Page today I noticed that we are NINE likes away from 500!  If that isn't a reason to party, I don't know what is.  I'm still not happy with the number of our fans that we are actually  reaching on Facebook with our status updates, but I suppose I shouldn't be complaining about a service that is essentially free.

And I'm not writing this post about Facebook. I'm reeling myself in from a possible rant so that I can hook you with what I'm really here to announce. (Why oh why, the fishing imagery?)

From the beginning Janane and I have envisioned building a community of moms around us. Moms who forgot who they once were before offspring. We can't go back to life as a singleton freewheelin' through the world--and I don't think any of us would want to do that--but we want to take a moment to remember who we are at the core. What makes us who we are at our best. Being a parent is a mighty calling--but it can drain a mom, or dad.

Just ask Janene, all of her kids have been sick this week!

So we want to mix it up a bit. And all of you are INVITED!


Welcome to The More Than Mommies Mixer: a blog hop designed to meet and greet and fill the net with fish, er friends.

We will meet here every Friday for a low pressure hop, a place to see and be seen!

What's in it for you?

Well, anyone that tweets in the upcoming week using the hash tag #MTMMixer or shares this post on Facebook or Pinterest will go into a drawing to become our "LIFE of the PARTY" hostess for next Friday. If you want all eyes on you for our very first mixer than share, share, share! We will be watching the Twitter Feed, Facebook Threads, and Pinterest Boards, but you can also leave us a comment letting us know that you shared!

We will be opening up the link next Thursday Evening, November 1st --and this will be your next chance to get one of those hostess spots. If you arrive early to the party (link up before 7 a.m. on Friday) we will randomly select a blogger to be our "Mixologist" hostess for the week.
